Pod
This project aims to look into the future. It is the year 3020. Living spaces have been transformed into pods to allow for the growing population to have residential space. These however are no ordinary pods. These function as a residential pod as well as a moving vehicle. The contraption combines the two essentials into one allowing for the most efficient usage of space.
Ideation section
The first section of the project consists of experimentation with different codes and attachments within grasshopper. These forms are created with a certain purpose.
From these forms, scale is added to give the forms a purpose, whether it be interior based or not.

Once the scales are added, the final form is chosen to continue with the development into details and specifications. The chosen model is number 010.
Development of model
The final model of the pod is parametric based, meaning there are certain steps required to create this form. The brreakdown of the steps to creating the pod allows for the understanding of the purpose of the pod.
Functionality
When needed, the square panels will rotate, unfold open to create surfaces for resting, seatings as well as a surface to place items and food to eat.
In its resting state, the panels are folded away to give the user as much space as possible. They are automatically folded and unfolded, based on the actions of the user within the space.
